Improved Motor Function with Bowen Therapy for Rehabilitation in Chronic Stroke: A Pilot Study. Accepted for publication September 2010 in the Journal of Primary Health Care. Publication pending.

 

The following projects are currently underway or are planned for 2010-11:

  • A cohort trial for adults with asthma taught Buteyko Breathing Technique.

 

  • Effects of a behavioural intervention on health functioning and quality of life in community dwelling adults with a chronic health condition - a randomised, wait-list controlled clinical trial - the Breathing SKY Study.

 

  • A novel tool to reduce anxiety in Emergency Department attendees.

 

  • A case series study involving Buteyko Breathing Technique in suspected Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

 

  • A study on Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Health Practitioners in Tairawhiti and the East Coast Region.
